What have you learned from moving?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 21, 2008:

Adaptation. I changed schools times by the ninth grade and lived in five states.  Now the idea of changing schools, jobs, whatever is not scary at all.  I know how to deal with whatever life gives me.  It's doing one thing for too long that bothers me now!

fall meditation

Posted on Sep 16th, 2008 by Emily : Animal Healer Emily
Today's meditation was emotionally packed.  It went very smoothly, the music really helped.  I also used the study and laid out a blanket and used some incense.  The whole experience was very vivid.  I entered fally through a bright doorway that appeared in my usual well garden.  It got my attention because the wind was blowing cold.  I stepped into fall and it was damp, like right after a rain.  The leaves were mostly on the ground, all yellow, red, and brown.  I was in a sparse wooded area overlooking a valley.  Far in the distance I could see a hawk, but otherwise it was very lonely with the wind and the churning clouds overhead.  I walked the hill to a harvested field.  I could see a large combine tractor in the distance.  I picked up a stray piece of maize and put it in my pocket in case I saw a deer later.  I never did.  I was wearing a coarse black gown.
I looked up the hill at this point, to a different place than I entered and saw a figure moving through the woods.  At first I thought it might be a ghost, because it was white and glowing, but it was a woman.  She was beautiful and reminded me more of spring than fall.  She wore a flowing white gown and had long, lightish hair, very curly.  She reached out a hand to me, and instantly I was at her side holding it.  I was in awe and had no idea who she was.  I asked if I should dance for her and she laughed.  The first time I have heard a human voice while journeying.  I sort of awkwardly danced a jig until she grabbed my hand and we danced together.  We spun around and let the other twirl under our arms.  I was so excited, i danced around, threw leaves in the air just to watch them fall, and jumped into a pile of leaves.  The woman enjoyed this all.  I was then embarrassed and awkwardly followd along as she walked on.  She seemed sad all of a sudden.  I asked why and she said, "Things are ending."  I said, "Aren't they just resting?"  She said, "Somethings.  But I always feel sad at this time."  "Aren't you a spirit of fall?" I asked.  She just looked slyly at me.
She reached out and put her arm around me, and put mine around her waist as well.  I felt uncomfortable doing this, as usual.  She noticed and asked if there was anything repressed that made me feel this way.  I said I had never really been comfortable with female physical contact, but I don't think I'm a repressed lesbian or anything.  She said, "Let me show you something."  Then we were traveling without moving.  She mentally showed me pictures of animals cuddling.  She said that women need each other, then she touched my belly and said, we are the only ones that understand some things.  I asked her if she had anything to give me.  She said now is not the time for giving new things.  Then she took my hand and led me on.
Eventually, she stopped and sort of nudged me forward with a reassuring smile.  I looked around confused, then suddenly Cernunnos was in front of me.  He turned and walked into a clearing.  I entered the clearing and there was a stone alter there.  He said to me that he was glad I was there, he was proud of me and knew I would do good for his animals and those connected to them.  As he was saying this, I was thinking of animals, when right in front of me on the alter, Zoey appeared.  It was incredible.  She was the same, yet different.  She was healed, yet the apparition of her wound remained.  She was was still waifish, but now in a very beautiful way.  She said hello.  I hugger her and cried.  I turned to the god and said thank you.  He said she was to be a guide for me in my travels.  I said thank you again and we turned to go.  He smiled and called me child.
I was loathe to put her down, but she is independent and tired of being held.  She jogged along ahead of me back to the woman.  Together they led me back to the door.  I wanted to stay with Zoey longer, but she said she would be there with me again soon, it was time to go.  I walked through the door and directly out into the light that ends the journey.
It was amazing.  I know that I cried in my physical body as well as my astral.  I still have no idea who the woman is.
Well that is enough for now.
